Walking alongside individuals and families at the thresholds of aging, illness, grief, and the end of life.
For almost three decades, I have worked closely with older adults and their families to support greater quality of life, comfort, and meaning during life’s most tender transitions. As a licensed clinical social worker with many years in hospice care, I have walked alongside individuals and families as they navigate aging, illness, caregiving, grief, dying, and the profound emotional, spiritual, and practical challenges these experiences can bring.
I offer holistic care consultations and personalized guidance to help individuals and families move through these experiences with greater clarity, confidence, and support. I assist with practical and logistical planning, emotional support, care coordination, and resource navigation so families feel more grounded and prepared as needs evolve.
As an end-of-life doula, I provide a compassionate presence and hold space for the deeper emotional and spiritual dimensions of this journey. I support individuals and families in exploring fears, hopes, wishes, forgiveness, legacy, and what matters most as they approach the end of life. This work invites people to meet this time with greater presence and a deeper sense of peace.
When welcomed, I incorporate meaningful practices that support emotional and spiritual well-being. These may include mindfulness, guided reflection, music, sacred rituals, and connection with trusted guides and wisdom keepers who offer grounding, prayer, and healing presence. These practices can help individuals and families experience a deeper sense of connection, reverence, and peace.
Grief is a natural companion to these experiences. Whether it is already present, arrives suddenly, or unfolds slowly through illness, I help people find language, understanding, and compassionate space for what they carry.
I believe that when people are given space to speak honestly about difficult realities, while also receiving thoughtful guidance and support, they can move through life’s transitions with greater dignity, connection, and meaning.
Some journeys together are brief and focused around specific decisions or challenges. Others unfold over time as relationships deepen and needs evolve. In every case, my intention is to walk alongside individuals and families with presence, compassion, and respect, helping them move through these transitions with greater clarity and peace.
It is a true privilege to accompany people through sacred moments that invite reflection, connection, love, and the quiet remembering of what matters most.

As a Certified End-of-Life Doula, I offer compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families navigating advanced age, serious illness, and the end of life. Drawing from nearly three decades of experience in hospice care, counseling, and care coordination, I provide a personalized layer of emotional, practical, and spiritual support tailored to each person’s unique needs, wishes, values, and sources of comfort. When helpful, I collaborate closely with caregivers, medical providers, palliative care, and hospice teams to help create a more supported and connected experience.
In this sacred work, I help individuals and families prepare for the many dimensions of letting go, including the emotional, relational, spiritual, practical, and logistical aspects of the journey. I offer guidance, companionship, caregiver support, meaningful conversations, grief support, family meetings, and practices that help reduce fear and anxiety while fostering greater presence and peace.
My role remains flexible and responsive as needs evolve. Some individuals seek support around planning, communication, and decision-making, while others desire companionship, space for reflection, or deeper conversations about meaning, legacy, forgiveness, and what matters most. In every case, my intention is to walk alongside people with compassion, steadiness, and respect during one of life’s most profound transitions.

I am also trained and experienced in Advance Care Planning and I support individuals and families in thoughtfully exploring and documenting their wishes for future medical care. This process helps ensure that personal values, priorities, and preferences are clearly communicated and more easily honored during serious illness, medical crisis, or at the end of life.
Advance care planning is not only about completing documents. It is about having meaningful conversations regarding what matters most, reflecting on the kinds of care and interventions you would or would not want, and preparing loved ones to make decisions with greater clarity and confidence if you become unable to speak for yourself.
When wishes are unclear or conversations have not taken place, families are often left navigating emotionally difficult decisions without guidance. Thoughtful planning can reduce confusion, lessen unnecessary suffering, and offer a greater sense of peace and alignment for everyone involved. Many people come to view this process as one of the most caring and loving gifts they can offer themselves and those closest to them.
Together, we can explore your values, goals, fears, hopes, and preferences for care, while reviewing or completing advance directive documents in a way that feels supportive and personalized. When welcomed, I also facilitate family conversations to help loved ones better understand your wishes and feel more prepared to honor them in the future.

"Mindy helped support our family as our dad's health was declining. She became his counselor and his advocate as he faced significant life change and progression with his illness. Mindy also supported our whole family with valuable resources, therapeutic conversations and grace. I highly recommend her services to individuals and families facing transitions. Mindy held our hands and hearts throughout the process and even after our dad had passed. She is an angel, a light and a gifted practitioner. "
